Mass Effect 3 Alternate Ending

Shepard walks away from the three paths that were opened up for him and towards a window, "I refuse," Shepard said, "I believe that the army that I have constructed will defeat your Reapers."
"They cannot," the Catalysts said as he stood beside Shepard, "you are a fool for believing in your army."
"No you are the fool," Shepard said, "I helped unite the Quarians and the Geth. They had been fighting for three hundred years, but with my help I stopped the war and united them together."
"That peace will not last," the Catalyst said, "eventually a Quarian will kill a geth and the war will be restarted. If you destroy all synthetic life the peace will last."
"No, I won't destroy all synthetic life. It won't bring peace between the Quarians and the Geth it will just destroy the Geth and that is not peace. I believe the Quarians and Geth can live in harmony," Shepard said, "perhaps a Quarian like Xen may try to dissect a geth but if a treaty is made then I believe the war that you speak of will not come to fruition."
"You stopped the Genophage of the Krogan," the Catalyst said, "History will repeat itself," the Catalyst said, "The Krogan will eventually want more and when that happens, war will come back."
"If the Krogan begin to overpopulate, but if they limit how many children each Krogan family can have that will stop them." Shepard said, "Besides with Wrex in charge I believe that war won't happen."
"Your army is losing; the Reapers will win and when that happens, all those deaths will be on your head. Your army cannot win." The Catalyst said.
Shepard was suddenly tapped on the shoulder by a Keeper. The Keeper tilted its head then made a weird noise as it looks at the Catalyst.
"He is half dead," the Catalyst said, "he could never defeat that trial."
"What trial?" Shepard asked.
"There is another option," the Catalyst said, "if you take the trial and survive the reapers will be destroyed."
"What is the trial?" Shepard asked.
"It is similar to what you did to the reaper corruption of the Geth," The Catalyst said, "if you can defeat Harbinger in his mind then the Reapers will be destroyed."
"I'll take it," Shepard said.
"In that case," the Catalyst said, "you are more of a fool than I thought."
Shards of lightning suddenly came and shocked Shepard, he fell down unconscious.

"Shepard," Shepard could hear Harbinger's voice, Shepard vision cleared and he could see Harbinger, he was smaller than he normally looked but after Shepard got a closer look he could see that he was the Normandy. "The Catalyst has engaged the trial, you are the Normandy because that is your ship. This is my true size, the size of our wills are the same so now the battle commences."

A possible battle similar to the battle in Nintendo's Starfox64 hard ending against Andross's true form just a bit more complicated.

After what seemed like hours, Shepard eventually woke up, victorious and he looks at the Catalyst, "I defeated harbinger."
"Yes, I know," The Catalyst look outwards and saw a defeated Harbinger exploding followed by the other Reapers. You defeated Harbinger, you did something I did not think possible."
Shepard then started to leave the place he was in, "You may have defeated the Reapers, but this is only a temporary victory," the Catalyst said, "my predictions will become true, they always have and they always will."
"You think too much like a machine," Shepard said, "Just watch, war will eventually return but then peace will come that is the cycle of life that cannot be broken for each are needed for the other to survive. But during war people will look for peace, and eventually people will forget what war was like and that is then war will return but peace will eventually return. We don't need Reapers to teach us that, for that is something that all sentient life knows. It will take time but I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with Tali and I hope we have a long, peaceful, life together." Shepard then left the area and the Catalyst alone.
"Admiral," Shepard said, "this is Shepard, mission complete, I'm heading back to Earth now."
"Good work, Shepard," Hacket said.
"Anderson is dead," Shepard said, "I'll bring his body back for a proper burial."
"Understood," Hacket said, "see you back on earth."


A few hours
Shepard was on the Normandy in the communications room, talking to the council and Admiral Hacket. "So what did you find while you were on the Citadel?" Hacket asked.
"I found the Catalyst," Shepard said, "the Catalyst was the Citadel's AI that created the Reapers to bring order to the Chaos of organic life."
"So how did you defeat Harbinger?" asked Councillor Tevos.
"I entered Habinger's brain and destroyed him from the inside," Shepard said, "When Harbinger died the other reapers also died."
"I see," Tevos said, "Shepard with everything that has happened and now with Anderson and Udina dead, we would like to extend and invitation for you to become a councillor."
"What?!" Shepard said surprised.
"After everything that you have done for us, saving us not once but twice and saving the entire galaxy." Tevos said, "We would be honoured to have you as a councillor along with us."

Reject Offer:
"I'm sorry, Councillor's," Shepard said, "but I just don't see myself being able to be part of the politics. If you want my recommendation then I say Admiral Hacket would be a good choice. And now if you'll excuse me I need a vacation after this."
The holograms of the council and Hacket disappear and Shepard walks away.

Accept Offer:
"I accept your offer," Shepard said, "but first before I get blasted with paperwork I think I need to take a long vacation."
The holograms of the council and Hacket disappear and Shepard walks away.
